George Bowles

Formerly a teacher of philosophy at George Washington University, Mr. Bowles has for many years been a painter of considerable merit, creating portraits, landscapes ,and still life. He received his degrees from the University of Denver and Stanford University. Most recently he completed a four year curriculum in drawing and painting at the Bougie Studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He has rendered portraits in charcoal, pastel and oil, animal portraits in alkyd, landscapes in alkyd and oil, and still life in oil.

A full-time painter, Mr. Bowles' deft touch and wonderful sense of color and design combine to produce vibrant and exquisite paintings. He pays strict attention to detail and creates an aura of depth and realism, resulting in works that are both luminous and arresting.
